ABOUT
Sarimu Kanu was appointed Managing Director of Kumul Minerals Holdings Limited in January 2023. Mr Kanu is an experienced General Manager with a demonstrated history of over 30 years working in the mining industry in Papua New Guinea.
Skilled in Mining Operations Management with high level experience in Gold, Copper, Nickel and Cobalt Mines, Mr Kanu has held senior roles with many major Mining projects.
Prior to his appointment with KMH, Mr Kanu was Country Manager with Frieda River Limited / Pan Aust from 2022 and Mine General Manager for Ramu Nico Management (MCC) Limited since 2014.
Mr Kanu is a strong engineering professional with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) focused in Mining and Mineral Engineering from Western Australian School of Mines, Curtin University of Technology, WA.
In February 2019, Mr Kanu was appointed as Member of Board of Examiners of Mineral Resources Authority PNG.
