ABOUT
Mary Johns is a seasoned legal professional with 30 years of experience in corporate governance, compliance, and commercial law in Papua New Guinea. Mary is currently the Executive Officer of the Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
She was employed at BSP Financial group for 21 years and served as Company Secretary of for 18 years, where she guided major acquisitions of the BSP Financial Group across the Pacific as well at the dual listing of BSP Group on the ASX.
She served as Commercial Director of the 2015 Pacific Games Organising Committee, was a Board Member on PNGX Listed CPL Group and its joint venture subsidiary Jacks of PNG and also served as an Independent Committee Member on Oil Search’s Audit, Risk & Occupational Health Committee and the People & Nomination Committee. She was also University Secretary and Legal Counsel at the University of Papua New Guinea prior to joining the Port Moresby Chamber.
Recognized with the Order of Logohu and Female Director of the Year by the PNG Institute of Directors, she has also contributed extensively to community leadership and professional organizations. A dedicated mentor and leader, she continues to champion governance excellence and empower future leaders.
