Gary was appointed as Acting CEO of Papua New Guinea’s national airline in March 2023, having been appointed to its board in May 2022.
Prior to joining Air Niugini, Gary was Chief Operating Officer for Kumul Consolidated Holdings, the holding company for all PNG’s state-owned enterprises.
He has also held senior managerial roles with other major PNG-based companies, such as Digicel, Steamships and Hertz Rent a Car.
Prior to being in PNG, he worked in commercial roles in the United Kingdom and completed a degree in technology and management.
Established in 1973, Air Niugini will celebrate its 50th anniversary as an airline in November 2023.
