Christian Lohberger is a highly accomplished professional in the renewable energy sector with over two decades of experience.
As President of the Solar Energy Association of Papua New Guinea (SEAP), Christian has been instrumental in promoting solar energy through strategic partnerships, policy advocacy, and capacity building initiatives. He is also the CEO of Astra Solar, where he spearheads the successful deployment of innovative solar PV solutions across various markets and sectors.
In addition, Christian has been a crucial climate negotiator for Papua New Guinea at the Conference of Parties (COP) and other international climate conferences. His expertise in climate technology, combined with his passion for sustainable development, has enabled him to make significant contributions to shaping global climate policy.
Christian sits on the advisory board of the UNs leading climate technology agency, The Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN), that fosters the transfer and deployment of environmentally sound technologies and builds capacity for clean energy growth in UN member states.
Furthermore, he serves as a regional liaison Pacific for the European Unions climate finance program GET.invest, supporting the EUs mission to mobilize investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency projects across developing markets.
