ABOUT
Catherine Hendren is an Associate Investment Officer at the World Bank Group, working with the Manufacturing, Agribusiness and Services team in East Asia and the Pacific. She focuses on SME finance, agribusiness, blended finance, and private sector investment in frontier and emerging markets.
Before joining the World Bank, Catherine worked at FMO, the Dutch development bank, covering financial institutions across Asia, and previously supported a high-level working group on multilateral development bank reform for the UN Executive Office of the Secretary-General. She began her career in Myanmar, working on financial sector and private sector development.
Catherine holds degrees from Columbia University and Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
